    Join American Baptist Women's Ministries' 69th annual meeting virtually on Saturday July 18, 2020. All American Baptist women are invited. The annual meeting will include American Baptist Women's Ministries updates, bylaw changes, and the election of officers for American Baptist Women's Ministries. Please register by July 15 to attend the virtual meeting.
       
     
     
    Nominees Selected for National Positions in American Baptist Women's Ministries
    The American Baptist Women’s Ministries’ nominating committee members have completed their work and nominate Olivia Banks, Dawn Doerr-Johnson, Rev. Dr. La-Tonia Jackson, and Carol Wright to be elected for national officer positions for the 2020-2023 term.
     
     
    Nominee for Coordinator of YAWMAT – Olivia Banks
    Olivia Takes her faith seriously and is honest and open about her relationship to God in group settings. Olivia began with ABWM in 2019 as a member of the Young Adult Women’s Ministry Advisory Team (YAWMAT). She graduated from Truman State University with a degree in Business Management as well as played varsity soccer all four years. She currently works full time in logistics for Ryder as a customer logistics coordinator. Olivia serves on the Church Life Committee at First Baptist Church in Springfield, Ohio, and enjoys helping out with bible. 
     
     
    Nominee for Coordinator of Events – Dawn Doerr-Johnson
    Dawn is a person of prayer and has knowledge of the Word. She listens well to others and is a team player, reliable, who will get to your ideas without losing herself. She keeps on subject and is able to pull in a person who is on the fringe. Dawn is able to respond to an urgent or quick change. She has been a “go to” person for computer questions, teaching computer classes at ABWM conferences in the past. She is a multitasker and flexible. Dawn is a very caring and loving person. She is persistent enough to have completed her Master’s Degree after 20 years out of school to become a licensed Family Therapist.
     
     
    Nominee for Treasurer - Rev. Dr. La-Tonia Jackson
    Rev. Dr. Jackson is an avid learner, and has a zeal for missionary work and social justice. She can only describe her many professional and communal activities as her “call to serve” God’s people. She boldly demonstrates her faith through serving the underserved, being authentic, empowering others, and proclaiming the good news undergirded by Luke 4:18-19. Rev. Dr. Jackson is hardworking, dedicated, and a trustworthy problem solver, exhibiting all good qualities you look for in a treasurer. She managed annual $1.3M budget, reviewed grant applications, created marketing materials, designed curricula, and produced worship experiences for both church, and social media. She developed and led a program that scaled to 1500 rural under-resourced middle school girls across 15 community colleges securing an additional $3M in funding for 2018. 
     
     
    Nominee for Coordinator of the Western Section – Carol Wright
    Carol Wright is a person of strong faith. She is very committed to ABWM. Carol is solid in leadership, is a selfstarter, an excellent presenter and speaker. Carol is a leader in her community. She is the CEO of Graham-Kapowsin Community Council, a nonprofit organization that engages the community through education, activities & programs that foster self-esteem, self-reliance & empowerment. Carol has a Bachelor of Arts Degree and Master’s Degree in Science and was a college professor in the field of computer science. Carol has great ideas, is inviting and creative, she is able to put into plan and accomplish.
