Addiction in Context: A Public Health Framework

    November 5, 2020
    9PMEST/6PMPST

Alcohol and drug use problems do not occur in a vacuum. Instead, there are biological, psychological, social, and spiritual dimensions to substance use disorders. This webinar will provide an overview of how each of these dimensions may be involved and interplay in a person's encounter with alcohol and other drugs. Within this framework, this webinar will provide best practices for prevention, treatment, and recovery. Participants will come away with a clearer understanding of how to protect and care for themselves or family members who may be affected by psychoactive substances.
