    Ways to help Puerto Rico

Hurricane Maria destroyed the infrastructure and communication systems on the U.S. territory of Puerto Rico. Its residents—our fellow American citizens—are challenged even now to gather the necessities for their survival:  clean drinking water, food, first aid, medications/prescriptions, access to money in their bank accounts, gas for their vehicles, and fuel for generators, given that electricity has been restored to only 20 percent of the island to date.  Flooding continues with heavy rains across Puerto Rico this week.  Internet connections and cell phone service have been very difficult for most residents, and frustrating for their relatives living here on the mainland who are desperate to learn of their well-being.

Wondering how to help Puerto Rico recover?
