In this webinar, we will be looking at three women in the Bible: Rahab (a woman who dared), an unnamed widow (a woman who cried), and Lydia (a woman who served).
Speaker: Joyce Camp
Joyce R. Camp has been active in American Baptist Women’s Ministries for many years. She was the 2007-09 National Coordinator of Conference and was the 2001-04 New York State President. She previously served in several other state office capacities, including Coordinator of Personal Development and Conference Chair. She now serves American Baptist Churches as an Enhancement Team member and as a Treasurer of the Advisory Board of the Iroquois Association.
Joyce is a Registered Nurse who worked for the Cortland County Office for the Aging until 1986 and still volunteered weekly as an advisor for the Fourscore Club prior to the COVID crisis. Joyce is a member of McGrawville Baptist Church, where she leads an adult Bible Study and serves young people in the community with a program called “Kingdom Adventures.”
She is a constant advocate for missions and has been on ABWM Mission Encounters to Cuba, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, India (including Nagaland), and Nepal. She previously visited family in Peru in 1970 and 1972 – taking 3 of her children with her to a Wycliffe mission compound named Yarinacocha in the Amazon jungle.
Joyce enjoys Bible study, travel, swimming, drama, attending ABW Conferences, and meeting new people! Her love of humor is expressed in her alter-ego, "Aunt Maude," who first emerged when she was a High School senior.
She was married to David for 65 years before he was promoted to heaven on June 17, 2022. They have 4 married children, 11 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
