Who Am I? Exploring Who God Has Created Us to Be: A Christian discipleship resource for girls in grades 3-5, or ages 8-10
Questions of identity begin quite young. How girls experience their beginning exploration at this age of questions such as "who am I in my family," "who am I with my friends," and "who am I to God," will lay the foundation for their healthy development through their pre-teen and teenage years, into adulthood.
"Who Am I? Grades 3-5" contains four session plans to help young girls explore issues of identity:
-
understand that God has created them with individual worth and purpose
-
explore their responsibility as unique creations of God to be true to themselves as they follow God's path
-
learn that respect for and from others combines with self-respect to create a foundation for healthy relationships
-
and learn that labels are an inadequate way to define themselves or others
