Join American Baptist Women's Ministries and other ABC partners for a three-evening experiential learning experience, raising awareness of the impact of domestic violence from the perspective of the victim and with a Biblical foundation.
Through interaction with the facilitator and colleagues, activities, and discussion, we will move beyond facts and statistics to a true understanding of the impact of domestic violence on its victims and the communities that surround them.
The workshop will culminate with hearing the voices and stories of some who have survived.
In this course we will:

Examine the violence inflicted on the women of Judges 19 and discern God’s response.

Describe the mental, emotional, financial, and physical toll of domestic violence on its victims and their communities.

Connect the call to live out God’s love and justice by understanding the impact of patriarchy and what it means to be formed in the image of God.

Presenter
Rev. Simone Oliver is a preacher, educator, author, and speaker. A women's life coach and counselor at Transformed by Grace, she is a passionate advocate for women whose pragmatic, earthy style reaches the heart of an issue and the hearts of women. Simone has shifted from tragedy to triumph and is committed to the spiritual care and well-being of women and girls. She brings healing to wounded hearts by the power of God’s grace and is a certified Trauma Healing facilitator. Simone is a powerful preacher of the Gospel and a gifted workshop facilitator and empowerment speaker.
